Selwood colleagues from across the UK came together on Tuesday 30 June to celebrate a remarkable milestone – 80 years of Selwood.
The company-wide birthday celebrations saw teams from branches, Head Office, Hixon and Siltbuster enjoy a celebratory lunch together, taking time out to reflect on eight decades of innovation, growth and success. The event was centred around one simple message: our people have made it possible.
A highlight of the day was the presentation of the Selwood Stars Awards and Long Service Awards, recognising the people whose dedication and contribution have helped shape Selwood’s success. The Selwood Stars, voted for by colleagues, celebrated individuals and teams for their outstanding contributions, while the Long Service Awards recognised colleagues for their loyalty and commitment over many years. Together, the awards celebrated the people and culture that have defined Selwood throughout its 80-year history.
Across every celebration, there was a shared sense of pride in how far Selwood has come since its beginnings in 1946. While the business has grown and evolved over the past eight decades, one thing has remained constant – the passion, professionalism and commitment of its people.
The celebrations also provided an opportunity for colleagues to reconnect, share memories, capture the occasion and look ahead to the future as Selwood continues to invest in its people, customers and industry.
